Okay so here we go the beginning ... well sorta

So I've had it. I'm completely over being this fat unhealthy pile of pooh. So here a little about me and why I've decided to try my hardest to go this path. My name is Becca and I'm 31 years old. I'm married to a wonderful man who loves me for some unknown crazy reason and I'm very grateful for. We have 2 living children and an angel. After our daughter Brooklyn was born our youngest, I 'm still currently nursing her she 9 months old and I along with a lot of other people thought while you nursed you'd lose the baby weight....Surprise I was and hopefully still not gaining weight. Like I said it's been 9 months and whatever weight I first lost after she was born I've gained it all back then some. So after reading a few things and trying to figure out my husbands stomach issues(because the doctors never want to help) I've seen that a few people were promoting the high protein low carb diet. So I looked in to Atkins online and get the free little book ordered the book from the library before I bought to see if this was something to actually do or if it was just like all the other diets out there. Well long story short I got through half the book and bought it because a lot of what I was reading was making sense. About how Americans were taught that high carbs are better then how it was back in the day.
So I've decided to try this way of living, So far since I'm still nursing I've just been watching my carb intake, and I haven't done the induction and read that I should do phase 4 so since phase 4 pretty much covers all of the phases and induction I've just watched the carbs.
Here's an outline of what I've eaten this week...and I haven't done the weighing and measuring yet.
Monday- breakfast- 2 breakfast sausage links, salad(lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red/yellow/orange peppers, onion) with buttermilk ranch dressing
lunch- salami in a low carb wrap
dinner - hamburger with onion and mushroom and a slice of cheese, also 2 pieces of bacon
I  think I had a bite of a star crunch, and a mint snack size 3 musketeers.
And of course I forgot one of the things the books says to do and that is to write everything down that you eat. So like I said I've sort of started this life change. I figure anything is better then what I was eating loads of carbs and loads of sugar on top of it. I will tell you all though that you never know how much you want the chocolate till you know you can't have it. So I'm also going with the if I want some thing enough not to punish my self by either eating the whole bag or but denying my self a little taste, but also trying to do as the book says and not eat it because if you don't have it you won't want it. So I hope if I get any followers I'll remember to keep you all posted... sometimes hard to do with a husband a business and 3 kids and a life style change in the eating department
